It's a little weird to review a limited edition album, but here goes. I don't usually mention Music Plaza in product reviews, but special thanks for getting these orders to me despite the well known production and shortage issues. Anyway, this repackage pretty much makes XX a full length album with a strong collection of additional tracks to the original ++. The title track Butterfly is definitely a hit. The other new tracks are no joke either. I'd recommend this album as a strong pick for people looking for a sound that I'd describe as "modern" without strong EDM or trap influences (aside from Butterfly of course) or the bubblegum sound of other kpop offerings. The physical album is well done with good picture quality and materials. The chromatic version with the butterfly imagery is especially cool but both version concepts are well done.
The negatives: only one photocard for people who like to get many; font in the photobook can be somewhat small and hard to read. The posters are the smaller kind and the photo resolution isn't that great but I guess that's to be expected. Also, the arrangement in the photobook doesn't make each member feel personal. Yes, there are individual shots but they don't have their names on next to them so it doesn't feel like they're "featured". There's short messages from each member at the end but that's about it.
Anyway, even if you can't get these limited editions the regular versions are probably worth picking up even if you're not a LOONA fan (yet).
